This week in the Women’s Running Roundup

ROAD: A wonderfully diverse Warsaw Marathon with a Kenyan winner and gutsy performance for a Polish second place. Hengshui Lake Marathon baffles me with its IAAF Label and there’s various other halves around. Chicago Marathon and a whole slew of other marathons on the horizon.

Marathon pace effort is going well, a stinker of a threshold session and a beautiful 1/4 marathon race … though I still suck at hills at the end of races.

TRAIL: Cumbria Way Ultra (73miles) won by a huge margin with a 3rd overall by a lady with a top podcast you should check out, Hardmoors 60 (62miles) and a preview of Salomon Ultra Pirineu

ROAD: Lochness Marathon is a lovely day and not at all monstrous, the Rock’n’Roll series heads to montreal and there’s a Chicago Marathon (Abbott World Major) preview

ROAD: Berlin offered up a surprise winner, three sub-2:19s and a slew of PBs as GB and Japanese athlete make storming debuts and some USA and Canadian athletes made good on their pre-race aims.
Des Linden tuned up nicely for New York as she won the Philly Rock’n’Roll half racing Kellyn Taylor and Sarah Sellers amongst others. Oslo was a Norwgian triumph, I’m back racing in Harrow, and Syndney was underwhelming
