Monday 2nd - Easy run to work
A rare (though will happen more over next month) late shift at work. So, got to run around home with no rucksack, which felt great.
1:01:56, 8.2mi, 7'32/mi, 154bpm (in a 6'45 mile at the end by accident!)
Tuesday 3rd Track Session // changed to PM : WU, 3x 6mins off 90s, CD
Had my 20week scan in the morning which was both lovely and exhausting! Feels like your body is being put on trial for an hour! After discussions with BenFP it was decided that maybe the planned 16x500m session might not be wise so it was switched for a little threshold session at home. The splits are pretty lame, but I did it partially on trail and I'm always rubbish in the evening!
46:25, 5.7miles, 8'07/mi, 141bpm (1= 7'02, 2=6'43, 3 =7.04)
Wednesday 4th -Rest Day, Stretch and Foam Roller
Did I stretch? No. Did I roller? No. Eejit. Really wanted to run, but I was good. I did feel very sleepy in the afternoon as a result though.
Thursday 5th - 30 minutes Recovery Run
The 5k loop around home again. One of those runs that just feels great. Effort level felt the same all the way through but the 3rd mile was 7'11
26:54, 3.3miles, 8'05/mi
Friday 6th - Rest, stretch, foam roller
Well, rest anyway.
Saturday 7th - 20 minutes Easy Run + Strides
Staying with the in-laws meant I got to do this in the clear Yorkshire air. Felt sluggish to start with but didn't want to stop at the end
23:09, 2.8mi, 8'12/mi, 149bpm
Sunday 8th - Chester Marathon
More on this soon
23rd female and 11th in age category. London Marathon Championship qualifying time. Well! I was NOT expecting that!
3:13:08, 26.2miles, 7'21/mi, 142bpm
