Training Log: 18th - 24th June 2018 (Wk 8#WeGoAgain)

Monday 18th - 30 mins easy and stretch
This was the night of an England match so there was a bit of manoeuvring to be done: I drove to the pub next to Mr B's work, sat there for a bit and fed MiniB, Mr B arrived after work and looked after MiniB at the pub while I went for a run, then I took MiniB home while Mr B watched the match. Phew! As far as running was concerned, this genuinely felt easy. I think by the time it gets to Monday evening I'm just so desperate to run, even if it was hot.
Stats: 4.2mi, 30:51, 7'11/mi, 157bpm

Tuesday 19th - Track
3 sets of 4x500 - 60s (ish) between and 3 mins between sets
Track-Dave (our coach) was away on a well deserved holiday so we were timing ourselves. Thank goodness he's there the rest of the time!

Wednesday 20th -Swim // 20 - 30 minutes Conditioning Work
 DID SWISS BALL... ARGH! Couldn't even do the single leg glute bridge properly. Need to keep doing this - clearly I have no core

Thursday 21st - 10 minutes Warm Up, 7 x 3 minutes at Threshold effort with a 60 second recovery, 10 minutes Cool Down
Wow, that was a shocker. I had to count backwards from 60x3 for each rep to get myself through it. I was definitely there as far as effort level was concerned but this was a proper grind. I nearly stopped! Not sure if it was being on my feet loads the day before with Mini B, slow recovery from Tuesday, or not enough carbs the night before, or doing unfuelled sessions again when I'm not used to it. Will see how next week pans out. My face says it all..... Ugh.

Stats: 7.27mi, 56:50  1=6'36 2=6'26 3=6'45 4=6'27 5=6'43 6=6'06 7=6'27 Then went swimming in the afternoon and was storming it in the pool (for me)!

Friday 22nd - Swim // 20 - 30 minutes Conditioning Work - V late night quick 20 mins S&C

Saturday 23rd - 75 minutes Easy Long Run - 9.87mi, 1:15:18, 7:38/m

Sunday 24th -20 - 30 minutes Conditioning Work _>z Needed to run so went out for an easy one in the afternoon, then came back and did the swiss ball thing. It's SO hard! 4.94mi, 38:18, 7:45/mi, 147bpm
